Let’s document you as a professional!

Below you'll find some FAQ & tips that I've collected over the years.

My best advise: Be comfortable and feel gorgeous

(don't settle for just one or the other!)

When should we shoot?

Your images will take a month to process. From there, you get to select your favorites and start any dialogue if further deep touch-ups are needed. When planning, consider any deadlines, quarterly updates, potential onboarding or website releases/rebranding. Does everyone come into the office on Wednesday? Will you have a clearer headspace in the beginning or end of the week? Do you want a haircut? (:

Where should we shoot?

Indoor or outdoor can both work great for company and personal headshots as well as personal branding sessions. There are benefits that come with including your studio, desk space, or relevant activity for your work or industry. An on site session is a great way to document your setting as a part of your story. What would you like that narrative to reveal about you and your work? Do you have large windows or a great courtyard with lush fauna? Do statement walls/corners that feel very on brand? Are you envisioning a clean black or white backdrop and added light to keep things simple as you add new employees or develop your brand image?Simple and transferable is your preference. Or maybe you’d like to keep things simple but greenery and nature feel more approachable? Or maybe an urban or industrial setting feels more aligned with your work? I’m happy to brainstorm with you here to find or make just the right place.

What about props?

Props can be fun and add another dimension to our imagery. Below are some ideas to get you thinking!

– Inspiration pictures/decor
– Tools/supplies
– Computer/phone
– Items of personal interests (books, musical instruments, sports’ balls…)

– Plants/florals
– Framed pictures of important people/family

What should we wear?

I’d love for you to be comfortable & also feel GREAT.  Many people choose to have a professional hair and makeup appointment before our shoot. Some coordinate a theme or a palette for their team or outfits instead of matching completely. Ex: business casual in neutrals or uniform tops in darks.

If relevant, spend a little time thinking on what makes you feel great and respectable as a pro; fabric, coverage, tightness, sheerness, cuts, patterns, colors, etc! Head to toe.

Thank you to all the makers and leaders that have invited me into their spaces to share their stories.

I also love documenting family moments, so if you have a more intimate story that you would like to cherish, please reach out! (:
